찰리 채플린의 1940년작 '위대한 독재자(The Great Dictator)'의 종반부에서 나오는 연설이다. 영화속에서 채플린은 히틀러와 닮은 외모로 인해 엉겁결에 독재자가 된 유태인으로 분한다. 예전에 영화로 보고 참 좋은 장면이라 생각했었는데, 이렇게 편집해놓은 영상으로 보니 한층 더 좋다. 내용이야 다 옳은 말이다. 다만 70년째 현실화가 안되고 있을 뿐이다. 찰리 채플린 자신도 결국에는 빨갱이로 몰려 망명을 가지 않았는가.
