내겐 '이브 클라인 블루'란 주관 개념을 만든 사람으로 기억되는 이브 클라인을 오마쥬하는 작품전이 열린다. 작가는 무려 무라카미 다카시. 맥시멀리즘의 대가인 다카시가 미니멀리즘(그 것을 표방한 것은 아니지만)의 극에 서 있는 이브 클라인에게 존경을 보낸다는 컨셉이 참 재미있다.

Takashi Murakami’s “Homage to Yves Klein” at Galerie Emmanuel Perrotin in Paris was wildly successful, as we were on the scene to capture the reception. You’ll notice that Murakami has carefully color-coordinated a series of monochromatic works – including his notable skull and flower motifs while introducing studies of rich textures – with plenty of the requisite blue. The culmination is absolutely something that you have to see in person. “Homage to Yves Klein” runs from October 20 to January 7, 2012 at Galerie Perrotin.
